The Boss is back...Ford Motor Company began production of the 6.2L Boss V-8 for the purpose of offering a high performance powerplant for the F-150 Raptor. A version of the 6.2L V-8 also replaced the 6.8L V-10 Triton in the Ford Super Duty. The 6.2L Boss features cross bolted 4 bolt mains, piston cooling jets, & E85/Flex Fuel capabilities.

6.2L V-8 Features:

• 2 spark plugs per cylinder for increased combustion efficiency.

• Piston cooling jets control piston temperatures while increasing wrist pin lubrication for maximum longevity & performance.

• Cast iron block for increased strength, aluminum cylinder heads for reduced weight.

• Cast iron crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods, aluminum pistons.
